Festive and Free at the Littlestown Library

Seeking festoonery this holiday season?  Need festive tomfoolery to brighten up your day?  Join the festooning festivity at the Littlestown Library in December!

Have a taste for a festive cookbook? We have them!  Yearning for snowy holiday movies?  We have those with or without ice! Desire seasonal music to sing along with? In stock now!  Seeking tales of tomfoolery audio books? A wide selection awaits you. Seeking a break and ‘non seasonal’ entertainment? We have shelves full!

Festive activities and fun await family and friends at the Littlestown Library. On Super 2nd Saturday, December 9,  2017, 10.30 a.m. bring the young one(s) along to share holiday stories and songs with the KPETS dogs and handlers.

Start a new tradition with creative festooning for the whole family.  Drop in Saturday, December 9, 1 p.m. and join the green, red and white creative play.  Make tiny skiers with toothpick skies to zoom across your snow scenes.  Create striped canes (nonedible) of all colors to add to your holiday home.  Kids of all ages are welcome to this creative play program, but those under six must be accompanied by an adult.  Join the festive fun, have festoonery time with a touch of tomfoolery to add to your holiday memories.

Need a break from holiday hurry and rush?  Visit Littlestown Library for a respite, linger and rejuvenate your spirit.  A freshly stocked holiday collection awaits your reading, listening and viewing pleasure.  Prefer ever popular seasonal movies (be it Charlie Brown,"White Christmas", "Miracle on 32nd Street", "Grumpy Old Men" or others)? Holiday music (soundtracks, popular artists’ renditions of the seasonal classics or more)? Story books that tell (and retell) the reason for every season?  Enjoy the best of the season, find free festive entertainment, and friendly staff at the Littlestown Library. Admire the library's festoons, recall a favorite holiday memory or moment, share a smile with library staff, and add your personal touch with a decoration, card or note for the tree.

Give the children a break from fussy festivities, too.  Bring the family to cozy storytime programs.  During December, three programs are offered weekly at the Littlestown Library.  Have little one(s) from one to twenty four months?  “Babies and Books” is just the place for you!  Come by on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. for stories, songs, fingerplays and more.  Your tots growing fast?  “Toddler Time” is fun time for everyone!  Stop on in Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to sing, stretch, share stories, songs.  All grown up for preschool ?  Visit the library’s “Preschool Story Time” on Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. and join in the stories, crafts and play fun.  (Story Times will not be held December 24, 2017 through January 2, 2018.)
